bold orange-yellow letters with a thick red outline and hard navy shadow, clean and cheerful, slightly tilted
By Fontique EditorialPublished Updated
The Dragon Ball font in most searches, including the Dragon Ball Z font people remember from the 90s, is the classic shonen logo treatment: chunky rounded capitals, a bright orange-to-yellow fill, a thick red outline, a blue-black drop shadow, and a slight upward tilt that makes the whole word feel like it is about to launch. Fontique does not provide that typeface or reproduce the logo. Our AI renders your own name in an original anime action style inspired by that language.
Presets cover the power levels. Classic Orange is the bold, friendly base look, Super Aura wraps the letters in a golden energy flame, Blue Surge switches to a cool blue glow with electric arcs, Manga Ink is the black-and-white screentone version, and Battle Damage cracks and scorches the letters mid-fight.
Use it for gamer tags, gym and training graphics, birthday banners, and fan edits. Quick generation downloads as JPG; choose Standard and PNG in the studio for PNG output. This is a fan-made tool and is not affiliated with the franchise.

FAQ
Dragon Ball Font Generator FAQ
No. Fontique does not host the franchise typeface or reproduce its logo. This is a fan-made generator that renders your text in an original 90s anime action style inspired by that look. You receive a unique AI-rendered HD image, not a font file.
The Classic Orange and Super Aura presets are inspired by the chunky, tilted, orange-and-red lettering people associate with that era, while Blue Surge leans toward the newer series palette. All of them are original renderings rather than copies of any logo.
Quick offers experimental transparent PNG in the studio. Transparency has been checked on two low-quality 1K examples, not separately on every style; smoke, glow, and fine detail can leave semi-transparent edges. Standard and Pro currently retain a background, and image edits do not preserve transparency. For predictable transparent lettering with bundled font shapes, use Text to PNG at /tools/text-to-png. It creates new text graphics and does not remove backgrounds from AI images.
Images you generate are yours to use, and the generic anime action style is fine for commercial work. The franchise name, logo, and characters are trademarks of their owner, so do not use the name as a brand or suggest your product is official.
The logos are custom Japanese and English lettering, not a public font. Fan files named “Dragon Ball” are unofficial. Type your word here and download an HD PNG in that heavy outlined shonen title look. Free credits on sign-up; packs on the pricing page, no subscription.

What this is based on
A letterform shape is not copyrightable in the United States, but the font file that draws it and the brand name that uses it can still be protected — so Fontique renders original lettering as images and never redistributes a typeface.
