Pixel Font Generator
Real 8-bit lettering with crisp pixel edges. Preview your words, choose colors, and download a transparent PNG for free.
By Fontique EditorialPublished Updated
English letters, numbers and standard punctuation. Up to 60 characters, 32 per line, and 3 lines.
The checkerboard shows transparency and is not part of your PNG. Download uses the same pixels as this preview.
This creates a PNG image, not copy-and-paste Unicode or a font file. Keep the image at its original size or enlarge it by a whole-number scale to preserve crisp pixels.
This pixel font generator renders the real Press Start 2P typeface into a PNG image. Every letter is drawn on a small pixel grid and enlarged by an integer scale, so your exported text keeps hard pixel edges. Choose solid letters, a two-pixel shadow, or a one-pixel outline, then adjust letter color, spacing, and background. Use English letters, numbers, and standard punctuation, up to 60 characters over three lines. The preview and download use the same rendered pixels; transparent exports omit the checkerboard. The tool runs locally in your browser with no account, upload, or credit charge. The result is an image, not copyable Unicode text or a downloadable font file. Import the PNG into your game mockup, stream overlay, thumbnail, or design app. For crisp results, keep the original export size or resize it by a whole-number scale.

FAQ
Pixel Font Generator FAQ
Yes. The preview and PNG export use the bundled Press Start 2P typeface. It is rendered onto a small pixel grid and enlarged without smoothing. This page downloads images, not font files.
This tool creates a PNG image, so it cannot preserve pixel styling when pasted as plain text into a bio or username. Use a Unicode text tool when your destination only accepts text.
Choose a 2× to 6× pixel size before downloading. Keep the PNG at its exported dimensions, or enlarge it by a whole-number scale without smoothing. Arbitrary resizing can blur pixel edges.
This editor supports English letters, numbers and standard punctuation. Use up to 60 characters, 32 per line, over no more than three lines. Unsupported scripts and emoji are flagged instead of silently using a different font.
Yes. Previewing and downloading PNGs is free and runs entirely in your browser without an account or credits. Transparent backgrounds, custom colors, spacing, shadow, and outline are included.
