Can I use varsity lettering for a jersey mockup?

Use the generated image as a visual reference for a jersey design. It includes its background and is not a ready-to-place cutout. For simple real-font lettering with transparency, the free Text to PNG tool creates a new text graphic; it cannot cut out the AI image.

Does this copy a real college logo?

No. The generator uses broad athletic lettering conventions and does not reproduce a real school mark, mascot, or trademark.

What ratio is best for a team banner?

Use 16:9 for a scoreboard or social banner, 1:1 for a profile badge, and 9:16 for a phone story or roster card.

Can I use the result commercially?

Yes. Generated images can be used in original team graphics, merchandise, event posters, and monetized social content.

Varsity lettering is designed to read from the bleachers: heavy block shapes, confident outlines, athletic arcs, and a palette that works on a jersey or a stadium screen. The Fontique varsity font generator turns your team name, player number, or school event into an original sports graphic with the depth and trim people expect from collegiate lettering.

Choose Classic Block for a clean two-color team mark, Arched Team for a curved championship layout, Stitched Jersey for sewn thread and fabric texture, Rivalry Shadow for hard offset depth, or Retro Pennant for a worn school-banner feel. The text stays editable through the workbench, so you can try another name without losing the preset.

What this is based on

A letterform shape is not copyrightable in the United States, but the font file that draws it and the brand name that uses it can still be protected — so Fontique renders original lettering as images and never redistributes a typeface.
